Día 01: Lima / Iquitos / Heliconia Amazon River Lodge (L, D)
Starting with a reception at the airport of Iquitos and an orientation about the tour and the jungle. Next, tourists are transferred to the Port of Iquitos to board a speedboat and begin their adventure in the Peruvian jungle, observing the "Wedding of the Rivers" and visiting Monkey Island, where endangered monkey species are protected. The journey continues to Heliconia Lodge, where visitors enjoy a refreshing drink and lunch. In the afternoon, a guided walk through the jungle allows them to observe flora and fauna, including birds and monkeys. In the evening, a boat tour along the Amazon River is enjoyed, offering views of the moon and stars, and the day ends with dinner.
Día 02: Heliconia Amazon River Lodge (B, L, D)
The day begins with an early birdwatching session, where species such as the Tuki, Ringed Kingfisher, and Black-Collared Hawk can be observed. Afterward, guests return to the lodge for breakfast and then visit the Yagua community to learn about their culture and participate in activities such as using the "Pucuna," a hunting instrument. After lunch, an artisanal fishing expedition takes place on an Amazon River tributary, where guests learn fishing techniques and catch piranhas, with the chance to see pink river dolphins. In the evening, a night walk through the jungle allows visitors to observe nocturnal wildlife, such as frogs and snakes, while enjoying the sounds of the jungle. After the walk, guests return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
Día 03: Heliconia Amazon River Lodge (B, L)
After breakfast, guests are transferred by boat to a lake on Yanamono Island, where they can admire the majestic Victoria Regia, a native flower of the Amazon. This plant, which grows in lakes and swamps, is known for its large circular leaves and flowers that change from white to pink. Afterwards, guests return to the lodge for a farewell lunch, followed by check-out and transfer to Iquitos. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport will be arranged. The itinerary is subject to changes due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. The service includes accommodation, meals, transfers, and guided excursions, while it does not include beverages, airfare, taxes, or tips.
Luggage: For your stay at the Lodge, we suggest bringing only the necessary travel clothes and equipment for your stay. Due to weight and space limitations on the domestic flight and the boat to the lodge, passengers are allowed a maximum of 10 kg (22 lbs) of luggage per person. You can store part of your luggage at our office in Iquitos city and bring only the essentials during your stay. Additional luggage will incur a fee of USD 10.

- Flashlights, rechargeable batteries, binoculars
- Insect repellent, sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Light clothing, long-sleeve shirts and pants
- Cotton t-shirts (preferably earth-tone colors like olive green, light brown/khaki, made of lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying material; please avoid black clothing in the jungle)
- Moisture-resistant shoes and/or rubber boots (provided at the lodge)
- Swimwear is essential
- Windbreaker jacket (temperatures may drop considerably when it rains or during boat rides)
- Hat/Cap (preferably with a wide brim)
- Sunglasses
- Personal medications; first-aid kit
- Portable charger, rechargeable batteries, and power adapter for your charger
- Camera with a large memory card, preferably in a waterproof case
Notes:
- Heliconia offers electricity through solar panels, Wi-Fi, and hot water in the showers. (We ask that you use water and electricity responsibly, always respecting the environment).
- When visiting Monkey Island, it is recommended not to use insect repellent during the visit.
