Arequipa is known as the white city because most of the buildings like houses, churches, Monasteries and cathedrals were built with white volcanic stone.

Arequipa and Colca Canyon 5d / 4n

Day 1. Canteras del sillar + Quebrada de Culebrillas + Mirador de los volcanes

• 09:00 Pick up from your hotel.
• 09:30 We start our journey towards the Ruta del Sillar which is a tourist route with a lot of history and living culture, where you can visit quarries and areas where the ashlar originated. The first point where we will stop will be the Añashuayco Quarry; To which we will arrive in about 45 minutes. It is currently in operation, the masons carry out their work very early; In the place we will be able to appreciate an immense canyon with cliffs (ignimbrite walls).
• Then we will move to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, which is 15 minutes from Añashuayco. Upon reaching this point, we will take a walk of approximately 20 minutes inside the small canyon formed by the passage of water, which has walls of 15 to 20 meters, while we enter it, the canyon walls are increasing in height.
• 11:30 am - We will return to the city.
• 12:30 pm - We will arrive at the center of Arequipa and we will leave one block from the main square.

Day 2. Salinas salt Lagoon group tour / Arequipa

• Departure: 06:00
• End of the tour: 17:00
• Salinas salt lagoon is located at the back of the Misti volcano and the mountain of Pichu Pichu, from Arequipa it can be reached by paved road towards Baños de Jesús and Chiguata (3000M) and then uphill following a dirt road and potholes in the slopes of Pichu Pichu passing a peculiar Andean forest known as queñuales and de la Yareta (Azorella compacta) - the distance from Arequipa to Salinas laguna salada is 68km and the driving takes around 3 hours - the road passes through Misti volcano and Pichu Pichu mountain.
• Overnight in Arequipa.

We visit the following places following the left bank:

• Salinas Luicho where we will find native life, South American camelids such as vicuñas guanacos and also alpacas llamas.
• Ojito of thermal water.
• Wildlife such as birds of many species Salinera de Sal, we can enter if there is little water in the lagoon.
• Ñuñu volcano.
• Ubinas volcano viewpoint.
• Total walk: 3km maximum, most visits will be done by car.
• Overnight in Arequipa

Day 3. Colca Canyon Conventional 2d/1n

     Arequipa - Chivay

• 7:30 am I pick up from the hotel and after the indications of our guide we go along the north highway to Chivay on the way there will be a small stop in Pampa Cañahuas national reserve of salinas and Agua Blanca.
• Reserve of vicuñas, Tocrapampa, lagunillas, bofedales, Patapampa viewpoint of the Andes located at 4830 meters above sea level. Arriving at the town of Chivay we will have lunch and later we will visit the thermal baths of LA CALERA.
• Dinner and Overnight in Chivay.

Day 4. Chivay - Colca Canyon - Arequipa

• Breakfast very early then we go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to have a spectacular view of the flight of the condors and observe the depth of the Colca canyon.
• We stay in this place for 2 hours and on the return we will make stops in the traditional towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Yanque.
• Return to the city of Arequipa arriving approx. At 5:00 pm
• Overnight in Arequipa

Day 5. Free day and transfer out  

• Transfer to the airport or bus station in Arequipa.
